Well done Otter, glad the job is resolved and you can concentrate on getting thru chemo.

All my wigs are named - all with a W name!

Lesley love your wig x

Lovely photo Lesley and good news about the job Otter

Great news about the job otter, just look after yourself through this though and don’t let work stress you in any way, your well-being is what matters at this moment in time lovely ???Lesley, hope you are resting up and getting the fluids in ???:sparkles::sparkles:to all shi xx

Lesley, well done on chemo 2 you need to rest up now and get that water in You! Good news on the green tea, I also drink green tea. I haven’t stopped during chemo but then I only have 1-2 cups a day and figured that probably wouldn’t hurt.

Your wig looks fantastic I’m so jealous!!!

Otter, meant to say good news on the job front, well done!

Hello ladies,

Well done to everyone who has been on the ?? today - rest up and drink loads.

Lesley - I’m using a limbo sleeve (got it free through NHS) - very good & effective but try and get one through your NHS as I think they’re quite expensive. I have other issues which means I need something that will withstand lots of water and movement, and it seems to be doing well so far. Hope you got on ok today - one third of the way there yippee.

Think I need to start wearing my glasses, hmmm - vision seems to have got worse.

Nurse who did my cocktail today did it quite differently to last time - he did it with the drip running. They didn’t do that last time and were about half the time. What experience do others have?

I cold capped again too, with a lot of indecision, but my hair is coming out now & I have a bald patch ???.

Well, tea is calling me…

Take care ladies xx

I mainly drink water anyway even prior to chemo and loads of it too so I never have trouble with the 2L either. I try to drink nearer to 3L day prior to chemo, chemo day and day after.

Thanks poppywheel I’ll have a look.

Mine was the same today as last time, syringe into the cannula whilst the drop was running.

Tingle in my foot has started up again and I can feel the nausea beginning to build, but it’s a few hours later than last time!!
Fingers crossed it’s not too bad!
? xx

Lesley, make sure to take meds if you’re beginning to feel sick!

I will Meesh, had the ones in the drip as normal and took a tablet before I left the unit, next one at bedtime … I won’t be skimping on then!!

Poppywheel, then needing glasses more is a se of the chemo. We had this chat on Oct thread a few days ago. Also the cold cappers on Oct thread have stuck with it, are you fec all the way or swapping to t after 3rd fec? When you go onto t the hair starts to come back on your head but your brows and lashes go (the May ladies have advised us luckily) ???:sparkles::sparkles:shi xx

Woo hoo!!! Well done ladies!!!
Lesley wig is fabulous, I remember you said you’d went mad buying them but how many W’s are there???
Well done on the job Otter xxx. I knew you were fabulous!!!x.
Roll on the weekend, my Christmas tree is acclimatising in the garage. He’s lovely xxx

I don’t know if I dare admit the number … less than the pairs of shoes or handbags I have, but the same as the number of hats/head attire I have ?

I don’t want to speak too soon but nausea seems to be under control - drinking loads and nibbling!

Have a good evening everyone
??

Good luck Lesley, sweet dreams xxx

<Empty imported post>

Good luck Lesley - I’m drinking loads and nibbling (loads ?) too and fingers crossed so far so good.

I think I have another se though - just bought 3 hats from Anna bandana ???. I’ve decided that my hair is going to at least thin, and if it stays like this I have a bald patch I would like to hide and I’m feeling the cold weather, so hats will be needed whether cold cap works or not. Well, that’s my logic!!!

Night all ladies, and well done ??x

Great to read everyone’s updates. Otter, I am really happy about the job/work. Brilliant news.

Lesley, Wilamena is wonderful - sideways, upside down, whatever! I am hope the nausea is manageable. I felt  fine for the first 3 hours or so and then exhaustion and nausea hit together. I went to bed and crashed out for 7 hours, so sleep trumped sickness. Or maybe it is sleeping sickness? Off to dose up from my bag of tricks and hope that will kick the nausea into shape. I also have a thumping headache like last time, but I am planning a walk this morning with my daughter which will be good therapy. I’m sorry my vein dance let you down and hope the PICC line goes well. I am having a portacath fitted next Thursday for similar reasons, provided my blood count is holding up okay. I am apprehensive but everyone says it is a good idea, not least the poor nurses who have to try to cannulate me.

Poppywheel, Anna Bandana is fab. I also love Surburban Turban. Worth exploring if you haven’t already. Thanks for asking about the eye sight and to Shi for answering. I had no idea but it has definitely been something I have noticed. I’ll take the glasses SE over the nausea any day!

Hope everyone has a good day - stay warm. It is, as my grandmother used to say, schnogles out there. xx

Morning ladies!

Good to hear you’re all doing ok after chemo 2. Just remember to keep your fluids up, rest when you need it and take meds when you need them.

Poppywheel, I too have a large balding spot on the top of my head. I find days 2-4 after washing are best as my curly hair stands on end a bit and unless you’re standing above me you can’t really see the balding patch. Earlier threads suggest wearing a hair band to cover up the balding spots. So you could try that. I just grin and bear it, there’s a lady where I work who has really poor hair and I don’t think mine is as bad as hers and she’s not going through chemo!
