Bythesea, sorry to hear you’ve been delayed. Like Lesley I’d also be really annoyed to be delayed due to bad organisation rather than being poorly, but I’m impatient which is why I’m in with the ??:airplane:On our oct ? with a ???To his head! They really should learn what’s it’s like to be in our shoes. However, it is important that the right decisions are made for your treatment. It’s something you can’t do anything about, so enjoy your

Good luck Otter for your 3rd ??? - I’m with you on this, all being well with my blood mine is tomorrow. I felt really apprehensive seeing the oncologist yesterday as I suffered with the fatigue really badly this time round but he was really reassuring - this is my last FEC and I have Christmas ?? to look forward to then can ?? celebrate the new year!!
That will leave only 3 T’s ?and then I’m done on this ?. Otter, we can do this, here’s my ? , take it I’m holding yours today. Keep strong lovely lady . ???
Lesley, I too have had a dry tickly cough on and off for a few weeks, no temp. I think that is what they’re concerned about if your temp is raised, or you’re feeling unwell. He reminded me several times yesterday about calling the unit at the first sign of infection. Try a spoonful of honey, eating some pineapple or drinking pineapple juice (all prescribed by my gp)

Lesley, sounds like our hospitals are on par as I only saw my onc prior to chemo, then after chemo 3 and will see her after last chemo. I don’t have much faith in her either, think she just does the admin as each time I’ve seen her she’s just been interested in getting me to sign consent forms. When I spoke to her about SEs and med adjustments she told me to speak to chemo nurses, whom I have every faith in! Shame they don’t get paid anywhere near as much as onc!

I never, ever thought I’d say this… but I’m so looking forward to what remains of my hair falling out … I’m getting so sick of these little bits dropping out!!

It really is amazing how different our experiences are. I saw my onc prior to first treatment and she went through everything and was very engaging, wanted to know what I did for a living, how many children I had, how they were coping with everything etc. Then at my next appointment I could see her or a member of her team and I requested to see only her and felt a bit awkward about refusing to see one of her team but they said that was no problem what ever I wanted was fine, and she was just as engaging then, My next appointment with her is next week. It is incredible how different areas are.

The chemo nurses are absolutely fantastic and when I popped in there yesterday to get rash looked at they all remembered me and asked me if I was ok even though I’ve only seen some of them once or twice. The oncologist is not located with them though and seems separate, a lot of the chemo team haven’t even met her.
Morning all … the end of another week … another week closer to the finish line!!
I have finally had my complementary therapist get in touch to arrange my free 6 sessions. It turns out she is a ‘healer’ … she explained it is similiar to Rekei, something I have no experience of… but she ‘heals’??? Her own experience is of having chronic rheumatoid arthritis and trying a healer, within 3 months she was pain free and has been for 15+ years.
I am very open to alternative treatments, but wondered if any of you had any experience of Rekei or Healing??
Booked in for my first session Day 6 of chemo 4 - so first T

Hi Lesley some of the Oct girls have been reiki and reflexology too I think, so they’ll let you know. Once I’m through this and the rads i’ll Be back onto the matcha powder and turmeric and rosehip tea and vitamin d3 and strict on anti inflammatory diet too. Because I’m tn there is no tablets after chemo and rads. ??shi xx
