Hi Otter65, I’ve had the injections throughout chemo treatments, day 3 after chemo for 7 days. I did the injection at night before I went to bed in the hope that the aches came at night.
Same Otter not sleepy at all so going to try yoga nidra meditation now ???(omg autocorrect changed that to yoga nude meditation ? That would have given completely the wrong impression ?)

For some reason I haven’t had any updates tonight so coming a bit late to the party.
I’ve had 5 days of injections with FEC but that goes up to 7 with T.
I checked with the Onc and she’s had now prescribed the clarityn to help with the joint psi.
I must be feeling your steroid pain as am absolutely wide awake … time to get another wasgij going!

Didn’t sleep particularly well and then woke up with heartburn. Just had dose of gaviscon along with chemo day of morning steroids ?
Oh and I have 10 days of injections starting Saturday, day 2 - day 11. Hubby gives them to me early evening each day, I think he feels by doing this he’s doing his bit to help!!
This is because I had an infection in my newly implanted breast before I started chemo & my surgeon requested I stay on 1 antibiotic each day if my chemo.

Good luck today JC ??? I was so relieved after first T it really felt like a massive step forward

No nausea yet. I tended it have it in DEC on about days 2-7, then as that faded then the fatigue hit. For those nauseous days I lived on ginger tea, toast & marmite, ginger biccys of any sort, sucky sweets, ginger drinks - warm Stones ginger wine, ginger beer, lemongrass and ginger. Then once I had the fatigue I didn’t want anything with ginger.

Don’t worry Lesley, yes I go at 1pm for my new ? - I’ll post any updates later or tomorrow depending how it goes. Am going with my daughter’s mother in law, so can have a good natter ?
Hi Lesley not much ?♀️ But that’s ok I felt pretty zen about it and listened to podcasts until the early hours then slept from about 4 until 7.
I think you and I were fairly similar on FEC ? I know the worst of T is still to come and mustn’t get ahead of myself but so far first 2 days of T is a million zillion times better than FEC. I hope I never ever have to experience FEC again in my life!! Also already experienced the GCSF bone pain on FEC as am on 7 injections for both. So feel fairly prepared and ready with full armamentarium of drugs ? Hopefully you will have the same experience next week ?
No problem at all ? Happy to be sharing good news so far ? Will keep you posted. I know our Oct ladies went pretty quiet for a while through fatigue but have my pjs ready and feminist lit on way from Amazon ?
Lesley, here is something I thought might make you smile. When I read your post about the jigsaw, I wanted to share the jigsaw we did to get me through cycle 3 over the Christmas period. I say ‘we’ but I was useless and it was mostly my daughter who did it. I thought it would be a good distraction. After a few hours, I concluded it was just a distraction and there was nothing good about it! xx

Sounds like you are all doing okay even if it is on less sleep.
I don’t start my T till the 18th Jan so bringing up the rear but very grateful to hear your experiences to try and prepare myself the best as possible.
My ONC told me that nausea is much less on T so hoping that is true as that was the killer for me.
I have been on the injections since treatment 1 and have taken ibuprofen for the aches that only really effect me in the first 24 hours then absolutely fine. And both my OH and I do the injections between us administrating them is nowhere near as bad as I thought.

Ok just got home from my first T and I survived!! Whoop whoop ??
I had to hang round for the chemo to turn up - it took about an hour for the drip to go through, she started off slowly then increased the speed at intervals. At one stage I had a funny taste in my mouth but only for a short while. Nothing to worry about.
The nurse did say I may have similar se’s to FEC but to look out for headaches that don’t go after a dose of paracetamol and then to contact hospital as It’s better to treat an illness before getting a temperature.
I came home with gaviscon & tablets for heartburn, injections & steroids for next time. I can take domperidone if and when needed.
Just going to chill tonight xx
