Hello, I’ve just joined so this is my first posting! I had my surgery (MX and reconstruction with expander) on 23rd June and a sentinel node biopsy where I had more than 4 nodes removed so that was 3 wks ago and my arm is still very sore and numb. I feel like I have a ball under my arm and walk around like a monkey!
I have had physio and have different exercies to do so I am improving each day but very frustrated as I didn’t think my recovery would be this long. The nurse said I have cording which I can feel a longish lump in my arm pit which is really tender.
I was supposed to go back to work this week but I can’t see me ready to go back for at least a couple of weeks. I have had numb toes on my left foot (surgery on right) so didn’t think it was connected just that I was cold!
I’m still on pain killers and inflammatories but it is still very sore. I hope it eases for you and then at least you can feel you are on the mend. Good luck xxx
Toulula I had surgery 3 days ago and my feet are swollen and toes feel numb also tingly fingers!
