October 2017 radiotherapy

Debbie you definitely shouldn’t rush back to work. I went back part time after my surgery so have been working during my Radiotherapy, it’s really tough! Give yourself a few weeks after your sessions have finished so that you can recover properly xx

That’s me done!  Woopwoop.  Off for a few days in Chester and yorkshire.  Have just spent loads of money on swanky shoes and boots and a sparkly dress from Whistles?  Hey ho.  Who cares.  It’s only money (eeeeek!)

Dear all,
Have been reading through all your posts, lovely to see people finishing off. I haven’t posted since starting as somehow the daily trips have just eaten up my time. Week 3 now and starting to get fed up of it and boob getting sore, due t have booster week next week and was rather hoping that the nurse would tell me I wouldn’t need it but no such luck. Just went to holland and Barrett and bought some aloe Vera lotion today to see if that’s any better than aqueous cream.
Any other ideas on creams? Nurse who saw me yesterday said that my skin probably will start to blister but she wouldn’t give me any cream for it yet!!! Surely prevention is better than cure??

Egg,  i use aloa vera in the morning and Aveno moisturiser in the evening - the one with oatmeal in.  I also am using Aveno body wash which is really good.  So far the skin has held up ok but may get worse.  I found the middle week the most difficult.  Once I’d got to ‘only five more’ it got much easier.

Hi egg, i use diprobase in the day, and aloe vera gel at night

Thank you all for your suggestions. I’ve got some aloe Vera now and popped it in the fridge so it’s nice and cool. Also sat in the house with one boob hanging out of my crop top after session today which helped as wasn’t being rubbed by my crop top! Don’t worry I keep all the blinds drawn and my tshirt nearby in case the postman came with a parcel!!!
The things we do! I’m glad to hear the booster sessions are faster. I will be glad when the daily hospital trips are done! X

hello helena is it allright if i can send you a private message little fairy xx

Has anyone else had sharp stabbing pains in area being treated? I had these for a few weeks after WLE and they’d stopped, but have started again after only 3 rads sessions. Is this normal!? Xx
