Thanks for this @Mairead_49, so nervous this evening but it seems from what you say (and others seem to agree) that I will feel much better tomorrow once we’re under way! So glad you’ve ticked the first one off your list…hope everyone else who were having chemo today feel well, and best wishes to everyone else having their first one tomorrow:grinning: thank goodness for all your support of each other….it’s priceless ![]()
@eddiesmum, I know what you’ll be feeling right now, and most of the group have now been in the same position. Hope you get a good sleep and best of luck for tomorrow. You’ll get through it and be so relieved at the first one being done xx
Just a tip for people who are cold capping - I added a sanitary panty liner under my headband for extra protection. I stuck it to my forehead and it turned out to be a great idea as the headband fell down! I think where the blue cap moved down once the nurse put the outer cap on, it moved the headband too, put the panty liner remained. I think I will continue just with that as it did the job although I have a smaller headband I may also try first.
Hello everyone. Hope you are all ok?
I am getting my second Chemo tomorrow.
Sending hugs to you all. xx
@Mairead_49 so glad 1st is done now and that it was ok less bad than expected. I know I can’t wait to get first out of the way. Got to wait another 2 or 3 weeks I think.
Cold cap panty liner sounds ingenious and I’ve made a note of it. Can’t quite imagine how it all works til I start. Why do you have to protect forehead? I already heard I need a headband and bought one but not sure if it’s wide enough.
@eddiesmum good luck tomorrow!!!
@Stafford13 I’m triple negative IDC too, but currently still expecting EC-Docetaxel, hoping no heart related changes as a previous rocedite revealed a heart murmur ( which they didn’t seem v concerned about at the time) All the best for next Wednesday
@lumpybyebye glad you’re through round 2 and hope everything goes more smoothly in aftermath this time. Love the T-shirt by the way!!!
