@Mairead_49 currently off my nut on steroids!!! Making me feel loopy drunk. # cancer bonus 
Got my session bag packed and emergency grab bag ready to leave in the boot of the car. As an added bonus all trimming, tidying and lady gardening done. I look ready for a holiday in the sun. Life is lifey. Will let you know the craic tomorrow.
Going for cold cap, Suzzi pads and eye chill goggles. Gonna look a right eejit. Battle of hair retention will commence. I drew the line at a foo chill pack!!!

@dilly how are you? how are the injections going?
@nastynork i hope you get the answers this week so you can start to prepare! you’ve already come so far with having surgery already you’ve got this!!! I’ve also got super thick hair so giving it ago! it wasn’t as bad as i thought!! I also got given a wonderful gift bag on my first session and a head scarf from a loverly little boutique near glastonbury!
It’s all the little things that make you smile 
I have my Covid jab booked for friday and i’m already started treatment as couldn’t get it before october!
What aren’t thoughts guys 
hoping it won’t make me feel too ill!
i have treatment this tuesday so ill be like day 3 
makes me fill nervous!
although this week it’s just weekly pax!
So hard to gage how we are going to be when it’s all new!!
i’m nearly week one down and i can honestly say friday i felt grim but manageable it’s just been nausea for me and now i’m constipated 
oh the joys!! Also the accrofil injections can cause nausea and i’m on pembro also which can! talk about triple whammy!
@tigress42 what a ride you’ve been on already!! I’m so sorry but like everyone else says we’ve all got each other now!! Also hope tomorrow goes ok!!

@slc1 I’ve had 16mg of steroids today pre treatment and totally away with the fairies!
I’ve had 4 vaccinations pneumonia, shingles, covid and flu all non live. My cancer was left side so first 2 vacc 2 weeks ago were pneum and shingles in the top of my right arm. Bloody killed for three days. Looked like a puppet trying to move my arms, lol.
Yesterday due to left side being a no go and PICC in right they put both in my left leg. No bother at all. Wish I’d known - I’d get them all in my legs. I asked the nurses about it - as there is good muscle in your thigh just as good if not better than arm! Ask for it there ladies. 🩷:ribbon:
Just installed Owise App to track treatment and symptoms, suggested on another thread. Quite good to navigate, all in one place. A wee bit info dated (covid era) but still helpful.

Good luck tomorrow @lumpybyebye enjoy the happy drugs and remember the unhappy drugs are a temporary necessity. Hope the pillow helps , hug it tight. If nothing else it’ll keep you warm!! x

Thank you @nib32 im still ‘ping’ awake but do have a smidge of a headache now. Thankfully not had steroid nibbles, lol. Just sitting thinking feckn hell this time tomorrow!
Diagnosed in April - long arse time with so many tests, procedures, two surgeries, side effects and set backs but cancer is gone, my mind set, this is now stopping a recurrence. This is the fight to be around for kids and one day grandkids. I will cry. I will be ill. There will be hurdles. I will be ok. This too shall pass. 🩷🩷🩷 I will be the mad Irish Nan.

@lumpybyebye damn fine attitude there and fighting spirit. Plus you sound really well prepared , hoping I will be…( but I’m so rubbish at leaving things til the last minute…)

@nib32 I’ll let you know how I go tomorrow: treatment but also things I brought and bought that were as helpful as a chocolate kettle and those which pipped the invention of the wheel.
Just need to find a bloody woollen hat in the house for the walk back to the car with cold cap head - they all appear to be hiding.
Organised, only due to the sodding length of time I’ve been on this crock of a journey. Nicked ideas from everywhere but found a check list 90% useful. I’ll try ro attach it.

Hey @slc1 x I’m doing the injections like a pro now hahaa (although still my most unfavourite bit of this whole thing).
I will be one week out on Wednesday, so I thought I might do an update then on how I’ve been getting on. There have been some ups and some downs, but I’m still here lol!

I had herceptin injection in my leg Thurs, despite not being able to have the chemo, it’s still hurting 
Mini insight into what’s install for me, with nausea and the poops!
Going to ask consultant what other jabs I can have today, and when I can have them during treatment. Only had the flu jab before treatment 
Will be going for leg- thank you for the tip

I HATE STEROIDS but accept there need but I STILL HATE them, grrrr. Precisely zero sleep. Nearly used CBD pillow to lower my oxygen level to knock me out - nearly. (I could’ve done laps around my town, mowed gardens and reinstalled some fences.) Now, still in bed, in denial, I have to be awake through the next 6 hours getting chuffing TC. I just want to sleep whaaaaa.
Took steroids yesterday with breakfast and then late lunch. Today started 2hrs earlier for brekkie - aiming for midday lunch at the hospital for second lot. Taking at 3pm yesterday was still too late, said before 4pm. Honestly, they could be giving me saline today and I wouldn’t notice - feckd.

@slc1 I have felt fine since the jabs thanks which I was surprised about as previous covid jabs knocked me for six!
@lumpybyebye thanks, I’ll take a look at that app. I was looking for somewhere to document side effects etc
