Hi firstly thank you all for your posts and suppot to each other, it has been really helpful.
I first found my lump 12 weeks ago, eventually went to the GP who thougt it may be down to HRT changes and suggested i left it for 6 weeks to see if it settled. It didn’t so I went back, she then did and ‘Urgent cancer query refeffal’ I waited 3 weeks for the mamogramme which I had this morning and get the results next Wednesday. I have held it together well until now !!
I have a lump more of a mass really and dimpling, I have had a discharge but minimal. I feel as if the mamogramme pushed all my hormones to my eyeballs and have cried most of the night! can anyone offer any reassurance, all the sights sort of scare me !

Hi kezza, one of the maggies nurses told me why they say a good cry and this is because our tears contain stress hormones and when we cry this releases them and we feel better, this settles down I don’t cry so often now.The waiting is the worst part so try and keep busy and do things you like to pass the time it won’t be long until Wednesday .Come back and let us know how you got on .take care meggy x
Hi kezza I too have a mass and my gp put urgent refferal to Nhs but my waiting would be 8weeks and I couldn’t wait that long so I am going private next Tuesday… But the wait is the worst as I think all of us feel on this site…good luck and keep busy and be nice to yourself Hun x
Hi Kezza, I can’t help with the symptoms, but I completely understand how you are feeling. I have had a small lump on my nipple for a few months, went to GP who referred me to breast clinic and said I should hear within 2 weeks. Had my mammo on Wednesday and go back this Wednesday for results. I’ve been holding it together, telling myself it’s nothing, but going for the mammo has brought all those scary thoughts back and Wednesday can’t come soon enough!
Im trying to keep myself busy (2 young kids help with that!) and not dwell on it. I’ve only really spoke to my husband about it and he was really surprised I was worried! He rightly said that the GP is more than likely being cautious and that most lumps turn out to be nothing.
Stay positive. xx
Hi All thank you so much for your support, the lump was fine but mammogramme showed some liner calcifications and an obstruction, I had magnified mammogrammes which were inconclusive and have (today) had a stereotatic core biopsy which was not too painful (sore now). I thought liner was a good sign but some sites say not !! I seem to be OD’ing on google breast sights.
Hope things have gone well for you guys X
