Oncotype Dx test

They do have specific criteria who the test may be suitable for, which you appear to match. If they’ve already suggested Radiotherapy and Hormone Therapy they may have already done the test (it’s taken from the tissue removed at surgery) and had the result, but not informed you. Certainly worth asking.

I hope so, just when I got info about RT, ET, was about 2 weeks after surgery. But I’ll see will be clear when I meet my oncologist.
Thanks xx

Hi, I know this was a while ago. I’m now in a similar situation with histology, had lumpectomy 2 weeks ago, clear margins for lump but cancer in 1 of 2 nodes removed. I know I’ll need RT in breast and under arm. I’ve been informed that my cancer is being profiled via Oncotype DX test. Can you let me know how long you had to wait for the results? I’ve just been passed from the surgeon to oncology and waiting to hear next step? Any questions that I should be asking or advice would be very welcome. Thank you

Took 4-5 weeks to hear about the results. I was Oncotype 13 so no chemo. Yay me. The waiting was the worst. I hope you know now or will any day soon. 20 and under is considered low likelihood of recurrence.
