One stop clinic questions....

Hi everyone. I’m sorry to find my self here and sorry you ladies are too! I was wondering if anyone has any tips on what to ask or expect at the clinic. I’m expecting biopsy as the lumps been checked and tried antibiotics etc. I’m so worried. My friend who’s gone through bc says a biopsy is a bad sign… Please any tips. 3 sleeps I’m actually looking forward to having some answers because this waiting for the app is awful. Please any experience or advic would be great. Ps I’m Laura 28 xx

Appointment is tomorrow. Can’t seem to find much information for younger ladies xx

Hi Laura good luck for tomorrow.

Hi Laura, a biopsy won’t nessecarily mean bad news, they will do one if they find something on imagining that they can’t be certain of being benign, the majority of ladies will get a clear result and your age goes in your favour, I can’t take away your worry but please be reassured that they will be very thorough at the clinic and aim to give you an answer the same day and if your are diagnosed then you will be well looked after and will find plenty of support here, wishing you all the best Xx Jo

Thank you so much for your replies. I will let you know tomorrow. Can’t have gene testing until I’m 30 (next year.) mum had bc when she was in her 30s she’s fine. Now and my dads twin sister died of it age 44. So scared. I’m hoping I’m being stilly and my mind is playing tricks.xx

That’s awful news jobey I’m so sorry for your loss xx I need to relax. I am hoping they will give me an idea on what is wrong tomorrow but have read so many story’s of women been left a couple of weeks not knowing I don’t think I can take more waiting xx

It’s lovely to know jobey!!! I went last July but the doctor made
Me feel like a fool. Mentioned it at a contraception change app to my normal gp and she seemed very concerned on inspection which has got me super worried. I have 2 little girls so that’s not helping my thoughts. I have no idea where you
Ladies get your strength from xx

Me neither love but you find it from somewhere! A year ago i was waiting on biopsy results and i was on my knees with fear, utterly horrendous time but you have no choice and you find a way to cope xx

This time tomorrow morning I should have an idea of what’s going on. Feel bad hubby has taken the day off xx

At the clinic they’ll usually mammogram, then ultrasound and biopsy. Mammogram can be a bit uncomfortable and biopsy will be done under a local. I had to want a few days for my results as wasn’t in a one stop clinic, but usually they give you an idea by the end of the day. Fingers crossed for you xx
