one week of radiotherapy done

Hello everyone

Have not written for a while, ended up in hospital for a month with sepsis and pneumonia ( caused by a fungal infection)

I have just finished my first week of radiotherapy and at the moment I am feeling fine. 'The only thing which I would like a little bit of help with, and I know I should ask the girls who administer ther radiotherapy but I do not like.

On day 2 they took an image of the breast, which they said was routine and they said they wanted to take another one today any idea what this means. I know I should not worry but I cannot help it.

Hi

I finished my radiotherapy at the end of june, and they took pictures regularly I asked them why and it is just to check the positioning of the machines and to make sure they are still zapping the right bit. So nothing to worry about.

Thanks so much its silly how we worry about things.

I am fine at the moment although they do say the tiredness starts a little later, but I will tack that when it happens.

Hi Jane,
I have just had my first week of rads too. It has been ok and I am feeling ok.
I am doing as suggested and covering with cream and so far so good.
The hardest bit for me is having to keep so still, I always seem to get an ‘itch’ and want to move, but I don’t.
I’ve got another 11 to go.
