Hello, I had my lumpectomy on Wednesday with three lymph nodes removed. The surgeon and all the staff were brilliant and he advised me before I left two nodes were clear and one had micro metastasis which they do not worry about. Pain wise it is not too bad and have no swelling and fairly good movement in my arm, just feel quite tired. Just have to wait now for the next stage of when the chemo will start, the bit I’m dreading the most. Also can’t have a shower so could be quite smelly soon!! Just trying to keep in good spirits. Hey good to hear that you are through the op and that all went well.
Just take each step at a time and deal with the chemo when you are nearer that point xx
Know what you mean, I was allergic to the waterproof dressing they use so had to have ordinary ones which meant for 10 days I could not have a shower, I remember the first time I did it was like heaven I think I stayed in there for about 20 minutes 
You will feel tired as it is the effects of the anaesthetic but it will wear off over the next few days, just dont be too hard on yourself. Have you been given exercises to do x

Hi Helena, yes I have the exercises but I’ve not tried them yet. Later today I’m going to try a short walk then have a rest this afternoon. xx
