I have had a mx in march and partial reconstruction with ld flap but implant had to be removed due to infection. I have an awful “orange peel” look at the top of my reconstruction. Saw the surgeon on Thurs who didnt seem too concerned, but what is it? and will it go away??

I had my MX with LD Recon in January. I still have ‘orange peel’ effect on the lower part of my new boob.
I was told that this is a build up of fluid & should disperse naturally. However, I still have this & at my last appt with BC Cons she advised it may always stay like this !!!
I was not too happy about this as where the ‘orange peel’ effect is it feels very hard. My BC nurse did advise to moisturise & massage area gently, i have been doing this but no change.
If there is anyone who can advise how to reduce this I would be grateful.
