pain after lymph node removal by Linzy

I am posting this on behalf of new user Linzy

Kind regards

Hi am nearly five years down the line after lumpectomy and radiotherapy to left breast. However am still experiencing pain in my left arm almost daily after removal of lymph nodes. I am lucky in that I don’t have much swelling just burning and tingling. Has anyone any tips for me to relieve this. I have tried the usual drugs.

Hi Linzy

In a way I am glad to read this as I am having these pains after 18 mths and thought I was the only one! Like you, I dont have much swelling - just sometimes the faint outline of clothing on my forearm and I may be imagining it but it feels warmer than the good arm - but I have sharp pain now and again in wrist/elbow and a short burning sensation up near the lymph scar. The Onc just said to keep an eye on it (dont really know what he means). The only thing that does help is one of those ice pads that I lay on my arm for a few hours.
