Hi gotthetshirt, just read your message and just wanted to say that if it was me, I’d go to the Doctor and have it checked out. Who cares if it’s just wind. Please don’t feel silly for going to them, that’s what they’re there for and this is your life. I know how frightening these niggling pains are, but please don’t put it off, make an appointment today! Sending you lots of love and hugs and please let us know how you get on, feel free to pm me at any time. Dianne x x x

I am nearly a year since diagnosis and a couple of weeks ago I started getting pain in my affected breast. I rang my BCN for a chat and she reassured me and suggested I go to the clinic to get it checked otherwise she knew I wouldn’t be able to relax. I got the appointment and a week later saw the doc. He checked it out and did an ultrasound and gave me the ok. He said it was the after effects of RADS which can go on for a long time after they are finished. I did say to him i thought I ws worrying over nothing but he wasn’t worried and said it is better to get things checked early. He didn’t make me feel as if I was wasting time or panicking over nothing.
Hope everything goes ok with your appointment.

I’m in my 4 year now and still get pains in my affected breast, I think its when I use my arm too much, I had an oncology check up recently and they said that everything felt ok, no scan or anything. It has settled down now but I still get like nerve shooting pains.

Hi thanks everyone that is very reassuring , i will still go to docs but it makes since after effects of radiotherapy think i remember something to do with scarring? hope your all doing ok x

I am 4 years on and still affected by pain, thankfully they are just like low level aches now and I can put them in the background. I do however resort to an odd nurofen if it gets really bad, but it’s generally an achy breast or a nervy pain in my upper arm. My skin is also still a different colour from rads, despite it being 3 1/2 years ago now.
