I have had an awful pain in my back since the last lot of chemo…is it trapped wind…have rubbed and rubbed…the pain is that of a really bad bruise…although there is nothing there…any ideas?
I really do worry don’t I…LOL
About 3 months ago I had an absolutely dreadful ache in my back which really hurt when I stretched or took a deep breath. It was in the back of my mind constantly that I might have lung cancer as I used to be a smoker. The last time I saw one of my oncologists he told me if it persisted they would want to investigate, but that they didn’t expect to find anything. Turns out I had trapped a muscle when I had been 10 pin bowling a week or so previously. I took up yoga stretches and now it’s absolutely fine again, but as it was on the side where I had my surgery I don’t think I’m going to go bowling again for a long time.
But I haven’t done anything…for the past three weeks… I shall ask about it next time I am in…

if the chemo upset your stomach or guts it could be that. I suffered painful guts and stomach from chemo sometimes and the pain did go through to my back.
Try not to worry. Take care and let us know what they say.

Thanks Anthi… Today is the first day since the last dose that I haven’t felt too bad. Pain in back is still there…if still there on Monday I shall ring in and ask about it.

Do you get the neutralgia injection following chemo - if so it can lead to achy bones! Just a thought - I am on TAC number 5 and have had the injection each time and my joints get very sore . Sometimes it is one specific place eg. knee or shoulder.
Hope you’re ok soon
