I had a WLE and sentinel node biopsy 10 days ago. Wound appears to be healing well and I’ve been trying to do the exercises as per instruction and have a good range of movement. Just had a shower and was lying down waiting to make sure the wound area was dry before getting dressed and I’ve got a noticeable swelling over the ribs below my breast and a very tender area on the top outside of my ribs. Just wondered whether anybody else has had the same and if I need to worry about it!

R u having post op follow up soon?It may be a seroma(build up of fluid in area where tissue has been removed ) happens a few days post op ,quite common ,usually sorts itself out but sometimes doctor will drain fluid if it is causing a lot of discomfort .
Stiches sticking out is pretty normal but you could have an infection if it’s that sore.May be worth getting some advice sooner from BC nurse or GP.
