Can anyone give me some advise please.
I have inflammatory breast cancer and therefore cannot have the breast removed because of the condition of the skin.
Treatment so far includes chemo, radiotherapy, now on tamoxifen and herceptin.
The situation to day is that I have a bad rash surrounding the breast which is currently black from radiation (finished July) and underneath the breast the skin is open.
Had a biopsy on the surrounding skin and that has come back negative for cancer which is good, but how do I treat this, everyone I see gives me different dressings, cream etc. but nothing is working.
Also both my breasts are really tender, heavy and uncomfortable, there is no actual pain just really sore.
When I wear a bra it cuts into the open wounds which makes that area sore as well.
Im taking co-codamol every four hours.
It’s so uncomfortable in bed I cant get any sleep.
My oncologist just says “see you in 3 months”, keep on with the herceptin.
I feel he says that because he cannot do anything for me but I dont want to give up trying, I am willing to undergo anything.
Anyone any advice.
Sorry for going on…JENNY
