Today I am told that as of the 1st April ( I hope it not an April fool), I will qualify for Pamidronate in tablet format. I am so excited as it means that I will be able to have herceptin at home, with that less trips to the hospital. My question is: has anyone got any experience of Pamidronate tablets and their side effects?
Hi Vercors, I’ve never heard of Pamidronate in tablet form. Do they just mean tablet bisphosphonates? I changed from Pam to Bondronat a few years back and don’t regret the decision at all, it keeps me completely away from the hospital. The only difference I’ve found between IV and tablet is more wind! Luckily of the burping type
good luck with the change.

Thanks Nicky, I am not sure exactly, but you must be right in saying that it might bisphosphonate tablets. I am sure I can live with a few windy moments. I can then blame it for any accident!
