Patient experience and need survey

Hello Everyone,

We don’t know enough about people’s experience of living with secondary breast cancer, but we know that unfortunately the care people receive can be inadequate for their needs.

To help solve this problem in the future, the Policy and Campaigns Team are carrying out a survey which aims to find out about people’s experiences of living with the disease and the care and support they receive from health professionals.

We hope that the findings will help Breast Cancer Care better understand patient experiences and support us to campaign to improve the quality of healthcare for people living with secondary breast cancer.

This  project can’t be a success without your support, so if you want to let us know about your experiences on the care and support you’ve received, then take our survey… Just follow the link below.

I can assure you all that the hospital you are being treated in will not be told about the responses you give in the survey. Everything you say is completely confidential and will be used only to build a better picture of what care is like generally in the UK for people living with secondary breast cancer.

Thank you in advance for your help and feel free to ask me any questions you might have about the survey.

Ben.

Hi, I started doing the survey but gave up when it asked where I was being treated. Are you planning to contact individual hospitals about the comments we make? Also, there was at least one question where none of the answers applied so I.would have had to choose an incorrect response. I do appreciate you doing the survey though.

I filled the survey out yesterday but was unsure about leaving my name as a feed back but it asks for post code and telephone number so they will know it was me. I hope it does not go back to my hospital I was not too kind.

Thankyou Ben your reply is much appreciated glad I filled in the survey

People might feel more secure if they only had to include the first part of their postcode. This would still identify the area they live but would be less likely they could be traced. I don’t know if the form will allow this as I didn’t try…
