Periods have come back

Hi all
Just turned 40 Have not had period since chemo started april 2007, on tamoxifen have had hot flushes etc and all of a sudden my periods have come back
Thought that might be the only advatage of having gone through it all - has anyone else had similar

No Maggie but my menopausal symptoms have reduced since starting Tamoxifen in April 2008. And like you no periods since October 07 which was just after chemo started. I’m 42.

I was told that at 41 there was a high risk of mine returning, but there wouldn’t be for a lady in her late forties i.e closer to her natural menopause, I haven’t had a period for 6 months since chemo. I was told that if they did return I would need zoladex too! Liz

Hi,
I finished my chemo in May and my period returned at the end of August and have been regular ever since.I am 41.

Hi , just to add. I finished chemo end of Feb and my periods have returned in November. Have just been for a hormonal blood test to check for sure . I am 42
