periods

Have just completed epi part of my chemo and am halfway through my first dose of xeloda. My periods have been right up the creak since starting chemo and in the first 3 months i have had 5. Has anyone experienced periods coming every 2 weeks. I was hoping they would stop but no such luck no wonder im starting to feel quite down about this.
Thanks

Hi Jackie

I had my 3rd FEC 10 days ago. I have had my period now since 4 days before my this, i.e. I have now had it for over 2 weeks!. It went away for a couple of days and came back painfully and is still here!

I’m 47, so I’m expecting this to be the beginning of the end of my periods. It does mess with them, whether they return to normal I think depends on your age.

hey chica…i had my periods all the way through my chemo…blooming things, the onc promised me they would stop…oh how he lied lol. Mine would always without fail turn up 5 days before chemo…and funny old thing finish the afternoon of having chemo…typical…so i got a week of being a bear with a sore head and then a bear with a dodgy tummy for a week! Keep marking off the calendar when and how long for lol…like being a teenager again lol. Its the only way I keep track of them now…im on tamoxifen now…so erm well anyones guess as to when and if the blooming thing will turn up

Hi all,

I’ve just finished chemo-3 FEC and 3 TAX and have had a constant period all the way through!! So much for em stopping!!

Hi Jackie
I’m on the same treatment regime as yourself. Finished 4 Epi and now into 2nd week of taking Xeloda tablets. I had a normal period 4 days after the 1st Epi but none since. Just shows how different we all are!
