Have got to go to London for one of these, my onc says is a back-up measure, nothing to worry about, but my mind is going into overdrive. Just finished 8 sessions of chemo and really didn’t expect this.
Not heard of others having these, what’s it like.

Pretty much like a CT scan really but you have to have some radioactive water injected into your blood stream. Pet scans show any cancerous activity like a beacon (thats what I was told) so I thought of it as a complete cancer MOT - a bit daunting waiting for the results though.

Thanks samb - I actually had it done yesterday, not tooo bad really - but its the waiting that’s the pain, still, what you don’t know about you can’t do anything about,
