Just wondering if most people had a ct scan during their planning ? I was expecting to but didnt have one (have never had one) and now brain is working overtime.
I have had an xray whilst lying on the rads bed , does it give similar info for planning ?

never had a ct scan. done mast/chemo/rads & now herceptin.
I had ct and bone scan before starting chemo,had op, started herceptin, waiting to start rads.

I had a scan which went round my body at rads planning
I had a CT scan as part of planning. They use it simply to see where the lungs heart etc are for planning. It isnt used to see if there is cancer or not. Maybe your hospital doesnt use them for planning?
I have had everything. They do it here if they find lymph nodes involved. Now I have been recommended for MRI. Although I was told bone scan was clear. I had a CT scan earlier as they thought something was on liver but they couldnt find anything. Does a CT do bones as well does anyone know?

Starfish , why did they think something was on your liver that prompted them to do a scan ?
I saw my onc this week and one of my questions to him was what do I look out for for recurrence . We all get aches and pains and I’ve got tenderness around my ribcage (I presume from the rads) but I get aches all over my chest /back and am currently putting it down to post op . I’m pretty worried about any ache at the moment so think when the rads is over I will push for one .

I had an ultrasound because lymph nodes are involved. This showed something suspicious on liver. Then they ordered CT. Thankfully it was no disease they said. But they cannot say what it is?
Sounds like (from other postings) that your ache may be to do with rads.
