Hi Peeps. I really hope someone can give me some advice please?
I am a relatively healthy 33yr old with one child. No family history of Breast cancer.
Sunday i found a hard lump on my right breast. Its a solid lump that cannot be moved. Yesterday i went to my Dr’s, she agreed there was a definate lump but will probably be a Cyst. However, to be certain she said she would refer me to the breast clinic, my appointment would poss take 2 weeks, but, 2 Hours after my docs appointment i got a call from the breast clinic asking me to go in this Thursday.
Why did they called me, did my doc find something sinister to get me in before 2 weeks time?
I am sorry to hear about your lump. It is great news that you will be seen on Thursday instead of having climb the walls for 2 weeks - waiting around for tests and diagnosis is the worst side to all of this.
It is possible that they are moving quickly because of your age. Hopefully Thursday will reveal that all is well and you can get back on with your life. Good luck.

Don’t worry about the phone call. Once you are referred by your GP you have to be seen within a fortnight. They probably just had a space and offered it to you, so be pleased you haven’t got to wait another week the waiting seems interminable.
If it’s a one stop shop you’ll have all the tests and they may be able to give you results on Thursday. If not probably a mammogram and recall for ultrasound and biopsy if needed.
Don’t worry Xmas Carol, as Dancing Girl said they probably just had a space. My appt was arranged on a Friday afternoon and I got offered a choice of 3 appointments at different hospitals on various dates and one of them was the next Monday (3 days later).
Hopefully all will be fine but I’m sure there is no significance to you being called in quickly.

Has anyone else had the same kind of lump that turned out to be nothing? Also if it is a cyst, do i have to have the dreaded needle? x
Just a quick update, i had my app yesterday. I had a scan as im told im too young for a mammogram. During the scan she said it looks like normal gland tissue but couldnt work out why i had a lump, she asked for a second opinion, they both came to the same conclusion, must be just tissue. I Was told to go back to the waiting room to wait to see doctor then i could go home, as you could imangine i was elated.
When i went to see the doctor he said he wasnt convinced 100% by the scan so i had to have a Biopsy…me being the wimp i am i cried and shook throughout. I get my results next friday…would you all agree this is more likely to be just tissue??
I am sure they are just covering all the bases, and although incredibly worrying, it will be good to know for sure. Understandable that you cried, elation one moment, doubt the next, apart from the fact this is all such an emotional issue.
I cannot give any insight to what your lump might be, but I am reassured that they are doing the full works on you, so whatever the outcome you will know for sure.
