Im being driven crazy with itching following my mastectomy 10 days a go. Have tried to find out what people are using because threads on this problem have dried up. So hope something has entered the market to help us. Can anyone who has Solve this tell me what they do.
Have tried pain killers, cold packs, massaging very gently because its very tender.
I am feeling very positive and just need to get this solved as climbing up the walls with the discomfort. Thank you…
Sorry to hear that Sue. I don’t remember much itching, apart from from some irritation where the dressings were. I used Aloe Vera gel and that was very soothing. I think I remember some people talking about keeping it in the fridge too which made it very ‘cooling’. Maybe you ar allergic to something that was used? I’d talk to your BCN on Monday for advice.
Sue have you tried piriton tablets they can make you sleepy but i`ve used them for skin irritation with good effect.You an get them from chemists or large supermarkets hope that helps Hugs Sandra
