hi hope everyone had good christmas.just wondering if anyone has had there port taken out yet? ive got 1 hepceptin left (yippee) and dont know if i should have my port out or just wait til i have my recon next yr and let them take it out while there there. it hurt for a wk or so once it was put it so i wanna know if its the same coming out. thanks xx

Hi piggy,

i haven’t had mine out yet - its coming out at the changeover implant next month so i can’t comment yet other than to say i remember reading or being told that the port site was more tender than anything else when it was removed. Lets hope its not too bad.Good luck whenever you decide.

hi thanks when it went in it was the only thing i cried in pain over. i think i might just leave it til im drugged up and out cold to have it out its just annoying that ive gotta get it flushed every month til its out. xx

i have a port and am very luck dont even know ive got it. The guy that did it told me it only takes ten minutes to take out and much easier than it going in so hope thats some help to you.
