Hello Ladies
Just after a bit of advice if possible.Had grade 2 ER+ PR+ lobular cancer in April 2010.Had lupectomy,chemox8 and radsx30.
Over the last week I have felt another small lump in the same treated breast, but in a different place. How would I know if it is another primary if my breast is a weird shape and still slightly puckered from the first diagnosis and lumpectomy.
Have my 2nd mammogram since diagnosis on Monday and my pre-op for reconstruction surgery on Wednesday.Hope all is ok and it’s just pre-mammogram nerves.
Thank you
Francesca xx
Hi Francesca it’s always best to get any changes checked out… You could mention it at your Mammo appt…l if your seeing a nurse or doc they can do a clinical exam and send you for an ultrasound if they are concerned.
Hope it’s nothing sinister.

Hi Lulu
At my last mammogram I didn’t get to see any doctors or nurses.Just had the mammogram and then sent on my way.I need to get the all clear on Monday so that my surgery can go ahead in 3wks time.I rang my breast care nurse today and she has told me that if anything is picked up on the mammogram then I would be contacted within a week.
I hope it’s nothing sinister too
Thanks for your advice

Even if they don’t pick anything up on Mammo you still need to get it checked out before you have your recon… See if your Bcn can arrange for an appt before your Mammo…
I had my Mammo last week and had a lump… At m Mammo appt i get seen by specialist nurse so explained about lip she had a feel but wasn’t oo worried but thought as it was new it should be checked out… Had my mammal but she arranged to bring me backs few days later for an ultrasound rather than waiting for three weeks to get called back after Mammo… Turned it o be a more pronounced lobule and my Mammo and US were both fine… But its better to get it checked and be nothing, than to think its nothing and not get it checked.
Big hugs xxx
