Hi to everyone
I had my mastectomy with removal of all lymph nodes on june 18th this year. I also had an implant put in which I rejected and had taken out 4 weeks later. From the outset i had dreadful hard swelling all around my underarm, this is really hard and painful, after the implant was removed the swelling was still there but now have lots of hard lumps of swelling around my wound site where the implant was removed. I was wondering if anyone else has had this and how long it takes to go down. My chest is really bumpy, not like those nice photos you see of post mastectomy woman who have a nice neat scar across their chest.The Breast Unit tell me not to worry but cant give me much advise apart from being patient and to move the lumps around while in the shower to let the water get in between. If anyone else has any experience would be really grateful for any reassurance.
