hi can anyone help me i have had lumpectomy with complications of a seroma after back in nov 2010 tamaxifen started jan 2011 and radiotherapy began in feb 2011 since completion of that back in march no real side effects however about a month ago i have noticed my breast has changed it feels heavier lumpy and my nipple and areola is more protruding also underarm discomfort and numbness (i forgot to mention that i also had sentinal node biopsy)my breast also feels that fluid may be building up and i can feel a hardness down my side of the breast has anyone else experienced this as i am beside myself with worry.

I had my op Oct 2010 rads finished Xmas eve, I have swelling, pain, lumpyness heaviness in my affected boob, and was dx with lymohoedema in April, although I’d had the swelling for a while before this, I’m currently awaiting treatment in the firm of taping, and have been massaging that area since I’ve been to the lymohoedema clinic. You need to either see your gp or ring your BCN so that you can be seen at the breast clinic, as they may want to do a mammo or scan just to check that it is JUST swelling and nothing sinister, I had a mammo, which was quite sore due to the swelling. I hope it turns out to be nothing but get it checked out just to be safe, good luck luvvie n take care - keep in touch x
thanks crazy cat lady just so happens that an apt to see my consultant is winging its way to me so will be checked out there the thought of a mammogram at this stage makes me cringe as the discomfort i have is awful but like u say its best to get it checked out . you take care and i let u know how i get on x
