Hi - over a year ago I had part of duct removed on account of constant bloody discharge. Have constantly been in discomfort and at times pain since and have from pretty much straight after the op had a waxy discharge which started out kind of yellow in colour but has now been white for some time. Regularly a funny buzzing/vibrating type feeling too. Waiting for an appointment as apparently it could be that the incision hasn’t healed up, the discharge does appear to be coming out of the scar - I’m wondering if it could be another papilloma in another duct. Anybody else had a similar experience?
Jules
Hi Jules
I am being investigated for nipple discharge, had smear and blood was found on both sides… They have decided to leave me for a couple of months to see what happens, Your funny buzzing vibrating feeling, is it deep within your breast because I have the same thing. I didnt mention it to the consultant as I wasnt sure if it would be related. Mine is like a phone vibrating (eg as if its in a pocket). I dont have to go back to the clinic until 29th May so I would be very interested to hear what they tell you about that.
I hope you get everything sorted out.
Speak to you soon

Hi Yvonne
Yip like a phone vibrating…happened more frequently a few months after the operation so I wondered if it was part of healing process as a woman I work with had an op a few months afterwards and described the same thing…happens to me less frequently now and with less intensity. I’d ask your consultant. I definitely didn’t have that sensation before I had the operation. Will keep you posted if manage to extract information from my consultant. Have only just gone back to my GP, perhaps I have waited too long. But as she said, the hospital here where I live anyway are pretty dismissive of anything that isn’t major surgery so you dread asking
Am waiting for nipple smear test results and an appointment but will definitely ask about the buzzing sensation.
Good luck with your appt if I don’t get back to you before then
Jules

Hi Jules
I dont mean to be horrible but Im so glad that someone else knows what i am talking about, mine comes and goes but sometimes it keeps me awake (like a tap dripping on my forehead). I noticed it around about the time that I noticed the nipple discharge but forgot about it when I went to see the consultant duh!!!
I have had implants for years I thought it might be something to do with that but speaking to you maybe not.
Good Luck to you too x

Hiya,
I had a mastectomy and had the buzzing thing too. Quite normal – just the healing process!
love,
Jacki x
Thanks for the info Jacki. Suspected so. More interested in finding out how “normal” having stuff oozing out of scarred area is over a year down the road…doesn’t seem quite right to me.
