I had surgery on 7 sept for tubular invasive along with sentinal node biopsy. I have a real stinging under my arm so uncomfortable. So scared get my results on Tuesday.
Hello
I had my surgery on 8th Sept for WLI and SNB and have had same stinging sensation you describe both under my arm and in my boob. Was hoping I’d feel better than this by now, but seems it must take some of us longer than others to recover :smileyfrustrated: Hope you’re feeling better very soon and good luck for Tuesday, hoping for good results for you :smileywink:
Julie :smileywink: xxx
Thanx u Julie. I too thought I would feel better by now.
Good luck with your results too and I hope you feel better soon xxx ?
Been thinking of you today and hoping for good results, take care :smileywink: xxx
Hi Julie
Good news margins and nodes clear. Back to wgh on Thursday to plan radiotherapy. Start my tablet tomorrow and take for 5 years. Onwards and upwards. 6 years ago today my daughter survived a serious road accident. She was 8 and was hit by a car coming out of school we were told to say our goodbyes never thought she wud survive the coma. 5 bleeds to the brain but doing amazing. Her court case was settled last week. September 22nd has a new meaning for us. Hope you get positive results, must b soon ?
That is the best news I have the biggest smile on my face reading your post!!! So pleased for you Sounds like 22nd September is a lucky date for you, must have been an awful time for you, so glad you’re daughter is ok now I had my results last week and they were the same as yours but didn’t want to say until you had had yours It’s such a relief isn’t it, I just sobbed happy tears! Glad you’ve got the radiotherapy appt quickly, waiting for mine now and to start tablets too. Race you to the finish line!!! Take care and hope you’re more comfortable today, first day today that the stinging hasn’t been as bad so am hoping yours is too Julie xxx
Sorry should say, lucky date now!!!
That’s good news ? I don’t think it’s hit me yet to be honest. With the court case last week. I’m waitin on the realisation of it all. Gonna have a bath to nite for the first time in a couple of weeks. I will be like a big baby now that the dressings are off xx
How did the radiotherapy appointment go? And more importantly how was the bath!!! Hope it wasn’t too bad without the dressings, the first time I showered it wasn’t uncomfortable when the water hit the scars (although they barely got wet!) which I was expecting it too as it had been so stingy.
The stinging does seem to be easing as the days are passing now :smileywink: xxx
The bath was fine. I’ve been really sore and smelly. Went to gp thinks I’ve got an infection. Gave me tablets and now for the first day I am beginning to feel human. Got my ct scan on 6th October and radiotherapy starts 15th October - 4th Nov. They gave me 3pm but no good to me as my girl will be coming from school. I’ve asked for mornings will find out on Tuesday. When do you start Julie? Going out on Sunday for my dads 80th I don’t know what to wear, been living in leggings and baggy t shirts ? Xx
Thanx jo. Didn’t realise it was rare. What are the chances of it returning or in other breast x
That’s good it was picked up early, same as me. I will read the link. I just can’t believe how tired I am and I have not started rads yet. Probably to do with the infection. I still can’t believe it’s all happened. Routine mammo fighting fit to an emotional roller coaster. ?
Hi barb I’m anouther one who has had tubular BC was diagnosed in May had WlE and SNB but needed re excision to get clear margin . I also had an infection after 2 nd surgery had cellulitus and was on antibiotics for a month and felt awful . Just like Jo my consultant told me it was rare but if yo urging to get it this is one of the best ones to have . I have now completed rads in August / September . I have not been put on tamoxifen due to me having a problem with my eyes and eye problems can be one of the side effects so oncologist said not to take them as it would only benefit me by 0.4 % .good look with your treatment. hope your infection clears up soon . I’m doing fine now back to work on Monday still a bit tiered from rads but you will get there . There is a thread for ladies having rads in October don’t know if you have had s look at it . Take care Julie x
Thanx aura I will check out the October link ?
I know what u mean jo its not nice to have had this but compared to other ladies on here we have been lucky . Glad you are feeling back to normal , I’m almost there just ready to get back into old routine . I did work inbetween surgery and rads then took 4 weeks off so work on Monday won’t be a big shock to my system ️xx
