Mmmm, not only am I lopsided and bald but now I am starting to feel like a weeble…you know the toy…weebles wobble but they don’t fall down!
I keep eating ALL the time so no surprise that the pounds are being put on… I will be SOOOOOOO glad when I can feel like a 38 year old again and go swimming and walking long walks etc…
I suppose if I look at the positive side…it means I can go shopping for new trousers…hee hee…and who cares if they are a size or two too big…they are NEW!
Hoping that everyone here is feeling okish and not too down… you can always visit Sweden and we can have a paint your head party…anyone want to come over then? My two children will think it is great…LOL
dont worry about your weight, its the least of your problems, the main issue here is to make sure your looking after yourself by resting and not getting stressed. I put on a lot of weight during chemo and leading up to my operation but after i had healed i was in a better frame of mind to start exercising and eating right, you cant rush things you will know when the right time is because you will think enough is enough and you will want to look after your body, but for now go on a shopping spree and buy a big fat cake to celebrate. ha ha.
Like you I have put on weight in the 4 months since my dx. I lost a fair few pounds in the beginning (not surprisingly). But 4 months of chemo, no energy, nowhere near the exercise I used to get, the steroid munchies, the “I deserve chocolate etc” mindset has led to an evident spare tyre.
But as Tracey said, it’s the least of my worries and it will go again once I am through the surgery and rads which are my next stage.
Mmmm my next stage is tamoxifen…grrr…BUT i am going to be superwoman…mummy of the year and the great outdoors lady of the century…the pounds are NOT allowed to stay!
just to put your mind at rest, im on Tamoxifen and im loosing weight through exercise and healthy eating, but im still having my glasses or wine of an evening so you dont have to be totally strict.

you are a loony toon!!! Your posts always make me chuckle, even when I know they’re not supposed to. I too am fast resembling a weeble that wobbles! Mind you, I was not exactly a slimcea to begin with to be honest. And besides, if people inisist on keep buying me choccie then whats a girl to do???
I can relate to this too, as think am putting on weight, but probably good in my case, as didn’t need to lose any, but thinking I might end up like a dweeble!!! LOL. As others say, we have enough to worry about at the minute, so weight should be put on the back burner, easy said, but I keep telling my OH he won’t love me anymore if fat and bald!! LOL. But I don’t care at the mo, getting through treatment is the first thing.
This post is really making me laugh! I am piling it on tooooooo…boooooooo hiss. It is definitely the I deserve a treat mentality. And the fact I am buying new clothes anyway so figure what the heck! There is time yet for us all to rediscover our former svelte (hmmmnot very in my case!) selves, for now I think we should enjoy the guilt free troughing that comes with making it up to our poor bodies for having such a crappy time.
Off to rummage in cupbaords - think I hid some bicuits from myself last week…

I just had a lovely bit of yummy, scrummy, gorgeous choccy cake and am off back for another bit in a mo. Had to buy it specially yesterday, as really fancied choccy cake. One piece left … so think I am a fat piggy. Enjoy all, we are going through so much crap, who cares how much weight we put on for now, me for one doesn’t
Enjoy
Love
Dawn (with choccy round her gob) LOL

On the “Beer” diet you can eat anything you want. The only rule is that you cannot consume any food until you have consumed at least half of the day’s required beers. This way the food will probably only stay in your body a short time, until you again exercise the deep knee bends, quick walk and the lean-over-and-hurl stomach crunches.
So it is party time at my house then…and guess what I have in the cupboard…mmmmmchocolate…and salty sticks and lots of other things out of sight of the little ones…LOL
I would class chocolate as a safe food, after all there has been nothing in the paper to suggest that chocolate is linked to cancer, grapefruit yes, but who wants fruit as a comfort food,
Great thread, nice start Babyboo. Read on another thread (quisie) that 2 of your 5 a day could be the cocoa bean (veg) in form of Chocolate and grapes, obviously in the form of wine! Sounded good to me.
Reading this and laughing along…whilst enjoying some red wine and some Cadburys Whole Nut choccy!! Good on ya girls, God knows we need something to cheer us up…she says having put on half a stone…no gym, steroids and comfort eating not a good combination.
LOL
