I’m pre meno too and started Tamoxifen Sept 08. I asked my onc why no zoladex and he said different practices vary according to different oncs and in his opinion the symptoms of menpoause so early and the skeletal implications outweigh his perceived benefit of zoladex. He also said that having periods whilst on Tamox doesn’t mean the tamox is not working. The tamox doesn’t stop us from producing oestrogen, apparently it binds to receptors on any stray cancer cells (if your hormone receptive) and so stops recurrence that way.
