Probably not cancer in liver

Hi everyone,
I wasnt sure if I should post my recent news but I believe I may just have got my miracle. After my recent lot of scans my onc is now stating that the lesions in my liver are PROBABLY not cancerous! I still dont think it has sunk in properly and I am scared to be excited as I dont want to jinx things but I am now being treated as if I never had spread and they are giving me a masectomy and node clearance in a few weeks time. Since March this year I have been trying my hardest to deal with the fact that I had been diagnosed with mets from the get go and what this meant and now this! My head is all over the place with this news! xxx

This news is so wonderful to hear. I can imagine how you just almost don’t want to get too excited about it. I had a similar story when I was diagnosed as apparently there was some lesion on my liver and they were going to carry out a biopsy on it but decided it was too small and they kept an eye on it and decided it was just a collection of blood vessels - it was still hard as was never 100% convinced as you just don’t want to get too excited just in case.

Really good to hear this and I agree that posting with good news is what this site is about too.

I cannot imagine what it is like to have a primary & secondary dx together (am assuming this cos of you not having had mast. yet). But then to be told you probably havent got secondaries must be quite a hard one to get your head around. You haven’t totally recovered from shock and then have to rethink life!!! I am so pleased for you and wish you all the best as you go on to deal with your treatment for primary! bc.

Am so pleased for you but what a rollercoaster! No wonder your head is all over the place. So much about a cancer dx can seem unreal and this news of yours will take some adjusting to - I should think you are probably almost scared to believe it. And you are still only being told “probably” which can’t help!

Anyway it is brilliant news and I hope that once it has sunk in, you can relax a bit after the last few months and enjoy life.
