Has anybody tried taking strong probiotics?
What are your thoughts about introducing a foreign bacteria into a compromised immune system?
I have secondary BC in abdo lymph nodes, and liver, and I’ve just finished my first two weeks on Capeciatbine and am on my week ‘off’.
I’ve got diahorrea thats not really responding to Imodium.
Thanks for opinions x

Hi withasmil,
am sure you got the advice you needed, but just thought that I wouldnt want you to think noone else had replied.
i talked to my onc about probiotics as I am also always on antibiotice too. The onc was. Fine about them, but our hosp pharmacist warned me that when there is no immunity, eg Neutropaenia/ no Nutraphils,it is quite dangerous to take probiotics, as sometimes. Avery serious fungal infection can opportunistically grow…apparently a few have died as a result.
That news spooked me a bit and now I only sprinkle half a capsule on my food once in a while…but do chevk with your onc
hope you feel better now?
