Problems getting drugs?

Hi All,

Has anyone else had any problems acessing their drugs at the chemist?  This is 3rd month and the suppliers normally used by my chemist are now no longer available to them and so to get relonchem Tamoxifen have had to put through special requests? Same I believe with Letrazole? Any issues out there for anyone else? any guidance given?  If any BCC staff reading this, any news, tips you an give us?  this whole medical aspect of BREXIT is very worrying…

Hi Densie

Thanks for posting. Hopefully other forum users will respond soon. In the meantime, if you would like to talk things through with our breast care nurses, they’re available 6 days a week on our Helpline. The number is 0808 800 6000, and we’re open Mon-Fri 9am-4pm and Sat 9am-1pm. We’re closed tomorrow for the bank holiday. You can also send a written query on breastcancercare.org.uk/information-support/support-you/email-our-nurses.

Best wishes

Hi Densie

Isn’t it a nightmare trying to get the brand you prefer!

I’m on Letrozole and I’ve asked in 2 or 3 of the larger chains and they all said they can’t get a specific brand…

I did, however, go into an independent pharmacy and they managed to order the Accord brand for me! In fact, he ordered an extra 12 boxes and has put them to one side…hopefully they’ll still be there when my next prescription is due!

Other than asking in different shops I’m not sure how you could get your medication I’m afraid!
