Hi a friend of mine as had num 4 fec but now is saying it’s hurting to pee as anyone else had this i didn’t I have told her to call unit I’ve not heard of it on here at all and her kidneys hurt so whether it’s a inf any advice be great she only on day 3 thanks Laura
I couldn’t wee either. No problems tho.
Laura, I had a UTI with first FEC. Started as backache and then became painful to pee. Took a sample of urine up to GP, which showed pus+++. Had a fever too about 38.4C. I was prescribed trimethroprim. Obviously if she is really distressed she should ring her chemo unit or out of hours GP. Hope that helps.
Should have added that it started just 4 days from chemo. treatment.
PS. if she thinks it is UTI or kidney infection, she must drink plenty of fluid.
