I had a mastectomy June 2013 and am still trying to get used to my prothesis. I cannot seem to get comfortable. I still wear the soft one a lot as it is easier although that is not always comfy.I seem to be forever having to ajust both prothesis and softie to keep it right. I can’t seem to find a bra that fits well also.
Has anyone got this problem and can anyone give me any sugestions.
Hi Melena,
May I suggest you visit [www.knittedknockersuk.com](http://Please pass on our sincere condolences to Sandra’s family and friends from all of us here at BCC, Sandra will be sadly missed on these forums by everyone Lucy BCC)
These wonderful ladies knit and/or crochet lovely soft and light prosthesis from cotton thread. Just put in a request for you size and it will be sent to you through the post with a lovely message from the knitter/crocheter. I have two. It is a charity, so no charge, although a small donation would be appreciated. Also check out there FB page.

Hi Melena I had mactectomy april 2013 I find genie bras do the trick the ones with removable pads I took the pads out and popped my prothesis in the pocket it does fit in. I dont try and pull them over my head I just step into it and pull it up they are so comfy nothing on them to bite or nip. Hope this helps
Marks and Spencer do after surgery bras. Not a great choice but the one I have is quite comfy.
I bought the one that has a lace panel across the front, which I must admit keeps coming undone
but otherwise not bad.
Knitted Knockers are fantastic and so comfy even in this hot weather. I have or rather had huge boobs only got one now and was really worried about finding bras to fit and a hot sticky making false boob. I ordered my knitted knockers (I asked for 2 to make it easier for washing). A wonderful lady called Olivia made mine and they are brilliant. I couldn’t find post surgery bras big enough but my knocker fits and stays put quite happily in an ordinary bra. You can put in or take out stuffing to make them the right size and even mould them about a bit so they match your own shape. They even have nipples!! I cann’t recommend then highly enough or thank those ladies who make them volantarily enough.
