I had a mastectomy just over 4 weeks ago. The surgeon managed to conserve my nipple ( at my request). Initially I was really pleased as I thought it would help me to cope with it emotionally. I am very thin and decided against implants. Now the fluid has disappeared I am left with an ugly, bulgy scar around my nipple. It is still very numb and quite tight. Do you think it will improve? I wonder if I am being impatient? With thanks.
