I’ve put a post on asking for advice re. surgery - specifically immediate reconstruction after mastectomy and its effect on radiotherapy treatment. You’ve said that you’re having immediate recon. - can you give me some more info. re. that?

Hi Sally only just seen your message. I am suppoosed to be having immediate recon but i have to see oncologist first for him to decide if he thinks i might need radiotherapy. Mri scan looked good on axillary but i am having all nodes taken away on right side so might have to wait for results of that before i can have recon. My consultant said that some surgeons will still perform the operation but it can sometimes damage implant and the appearnce it gives you. Will inform you of decision tomorrow. My appointment is not till 4pm
