Although I have written many lists of questions to ask when I see the consultants, I have always forgotton to ask this one.
What is the significance of a metastese being macro rather than micro? I had 1 lymph node with macro-metastese. Any body any ideas?
Thanks

Hi…not a medical professional, so asked my friend who is, but not specialist in BC. She says it’s about size. Micro are tumours too miniscule to be seen other than with a microscope; macro are >2mm. Hope that helps?
Thanks.
But does it make any difference that it was macro rather then micro. Does it mean that the cancer had been in that lymph node for longer and so had grown “bigger”?
