Hi all
I get the results of my MRI and CT scans on Wed - I was dx with primary last may - then did t usual - chemo and op (mastectomy + DIEP in oct) i asked for scans as i had 18/18 LNs +ve - and then the scans showed mets in spine and pelvis
I have had 4 months worth of zometa iv - zoladex implant and 1st month tamoxifen but the last 3 months on femara - i have had continued pain and more recently rt upper quadrant pain which is why they agreed to scanning me.
my bone pain has increased X 100% - i can do v/little without feeling pain in T1 or my pelvis
Dreading results on Wed - just very scared - anybody out there had their suspicions confirmed/denied ?
i’m so frightened - i could look up my own results as i work at the same hospital that i am treated but have resisted as i would have to take that information home alone
some tales of +ve experiences would be helpful

Hi Maria
I know how awful it is waiting for results - R day is today for me! However read Cathy’s post on here - she has just had some good results after experiencing more pain in he mets - so there are positive stories out there. Good luck for Weds and hope that you get goos news as well.

Thanks Nikki - hoping you got good news

Hi Maria - yes I did
My bone mets are stable and still showing signs of increased density/healing which is good. So despite my aches and pains I don’t have any more mets, just shows how the hormone treatment can affect us. Thanks for asking and I’ve got my fingers crossed for you for tomorrow.
Take care and let me/us know how things go - I don’t expect you’ll have an easy nights sleep tonight.

Hi Nicky
Congrats - thats great.
Well TG i got good news too - i have no progression which is great - i will be continuing with hormone tx and zometa for now – he will see me in 3/12 unless i need to come earlier. So my aim is to get to 3months without needing to pop in to them - lovely and all as they are it would be good to get that far.
Best of luck with everything - a bit of normality would be good now -I used to work shift work so might be heading back to that sooner now - it will be nice to get back to my usual chaotic work patterns - there was a short period there where i had lost hope of ever going back to normal work
So onwards and upwards
take care and thanks again

Hi Maria and Nicky,
just to say congratulations to both of you. I have been on pamidronate almost a year now and my bones are doing alot better. This time last year my husband had to put the roof down so I could get in the car! Then he would put it back up once I was sat in. Boy, did we look daft.
