i was due to have my radiatherapy planning today but i have been told i have a very large overian cyst that has to be investigated .i was sent for an ultrasound for gall stones only to be told i have a very large cyst .for about 2 years i have looked pregnant (im 61) really large .i have had no symptons at all ,just had full bloods done all good chest xray clear organs as they should be .now oncologist trying to get me a emergency ct scan .if i hadnt gone for ths scan no one would have known and gone forward with my treatment god knows what would have happened .i had even tried dieting before cause i thought i was fat .i feel i have gone backwards just sobbed and sobbed when i came home .

i just wanted to sympathise with you. This is the problem isn’t it, and is one of my fears,once you start undertaking all these tests something might come up you could live with for years no problem. I am keeping everything crossed you can get the scan done quickly, and get results super fast. Don’t forget there is the helpline here, that might be able to assure you. xxx

I just wanted to add, that I too has a ct scan that showed up a large fibroid that they were worried about. My radiotherapy went ahead as planned and then I had an MRI after. So difficult because you feel you’ve got through one problem only to he faced with another. Like you,I had no symptoms, totally unaware. And it turned out fine.
