Hi @beck1010 im glad its starting to heal, and good to hear you will have MRI scans as a follow up. It is hard to shift the reoccurrence worry, but I try to keep faith in the science of the onocotype scores I had, which were low and that my oncologist said he thinks I have a low risk. But you can’t help the worry when you have a niggle.
Fingers crossed you dont have too many side effects.
Yes, life is pretty much back to normal and from other people’s perspective it prob looks more so. But I do think im more anxious than I used to be, and have a few side effects from the tamoxifen, which are affecting my sleep. I’d like to be grabbing life a bit more, having gone through this, but everyday life is pretty much taking up my energy. Im sure this will improve with time. We’ve got a small garden but finally did my winter hanging baskets. How is your puppy doing? X

Oo that is good re the hanging baskets .. I want to do some gardening we have a tiny front garden and a weeny balcony area with decking but could make it nicer than it is .. puppy is doing v well though still not out for walks yet .. I watched the Chris Hoy documentary today it was pretty inspiring .. how is your week ? X

Hi @beck1010 I didnt know he had done a documentary, I’ll have to watch that. Glad that Arty is doing well, he must be into everything! Week was okay, work was a bit stressful, but we had a nice relaxing weekend. Im not a fan of Jan/Feb, roll on Spring! Take care n have a good week xx

Hi @springer5 i was thinking about you . I am spiralling again . I was feeling ok buy i went in for my appointment to start ribo and the bloods showed an abnormality on my Alkaline phosphotae of 178 so i am now in a panic and very tearful . The oncolpgost has ordered a full body bone scan amd an ultrasound of my abdomen and i am feeling very distressed . I am aching on the letrozole .. my left elbow and both arms and shoulders ache … ive has a weird pain at bottom of spine for ober two years when i get up from sitting .. but i am thinkong the worst and feel like running away .. oncologist was very matter of fact but i left there feeling worse and worse .. day two pf ribociclib and on red alert for fatal symptoms too .. my cortisol levels must ne through the ropf . Anyway how are you ? I hope you have had a good week and have a nice weekemd planned ? XR
@beck1010 beck1010 Hi, im so sorry to hear that you are struggling. Its good to hear you oncologist is listening to you and putting the scans in place. I hope that you dont have to wait too long. Try and hang in there! Ive heard that aching bones seems to be quite a common side affects of the letrozole. Hope you managed to enjoy the weekend a little, will be thinking of you xx

Hi @beck1010 im so sorry you are struggling. Its perfectly normal to feel the way you do, you’ve been through so much and are back in the waiting zone for your scans. I hope that you dont have to wait too long. Why not reach out to the breast cancer helplines? You could have a chat with a breast cancer now nurse or call the macmillan helpline? It may help to talk it through. Quite a few offer counselling too? Take care xxx

I will do .. thankyou … I spoke with a nurse today at the hospital and I have to just stick it out .. you feel so helpless .. but I need to think about how to cope again x

@beck1010 beck1010 I did find it helpful to write down how I was feeling. And to find something positives in everyday, the birds in the garden, the daffodils that are starting to show, the sun if were lucky! Just noticing the small things and spending a few mindful moments looking for them can help to give your mind a rest from all the worry. Xx

Hi @springer5 i am ok am getting ready do my onco app … apparently my bone scan was ok 
but I will hear more this morning .. how are you ? I’m on day 14 of the ribociclib and have a bone infusion on Monday argh x
@beck1010 beck1010 that sounds positive, hope they confirmed it was all okay. Im good thanks, had my yearly check up with the oncologist and all was good, which was really good to hear. Good luck with the infusion ! X

Ah that is great so what do they do at the yearly check ? My bloods were ok this morning and I have another blood test tmo and a bone infusion on Monday … I get so jittery I hop I get better at all this xx
