Thanks for your post. It sounds as if this is a difficult time with the side effects of radiotherapy.
It’s important that you ask the radiotherapy radiographer or nurse as @susynight says about what you should put on the wound, as they are best placed to advise you. They will need to assess the area affected and can suggest how to best manage it. Putting cetraben or Vaseline on a wound that is oozing will increase your risk of developing an infection. Washing the area with warm, mild soap and rinsing well with water will usually keep the area clean and gently pat with a clean towel to dry.
Your radiotherapy radiographer, GP, practice nurse or local pharmacist may be able to advise on dressings to cover the wound whilst it’s healing.
