Hi there
I have been to the hospital today and had my blood checked before I start my new chemo which is Vinorelbine. Just recieved telephone call to say that I have a raised calium level and have to have my zometa infusion brought forward. I was well up until 6 wks ago when I got a lot of pain in right hip and leg. I have had radiotherapy to it and started garbepentine. Is anyone else in this situation with raised calcium levels. I have googled it and i am scared now. The only symptom I have is drowiness which I ahve put down to starting the garbepentine.

Hi Maddison,
I know of someone else who is struggling with raised calcium levels at the moment. She has mets in her spine, and it seems to be leaking out from there. She isn’t posting much at the moment, but I can email her for you, and she may like to chat to you. In fact I will pm you her username as you may know her on here already.
All the best
Jacquie
Thanks Jacquie. The private message hasnt come through. Does it come on this post or do you have to go else where. Still getting used to this new site. Must say I thought the old site was better. Starting my chemo today so I hope that will have an effect. I’ve got bone mets all over so dont know exactly where its leaking from. I dont knoe if rads to bone can cause it?maddison
Hi Maddison,
tell me about it - I’m finding the site a bit of a nightmare. But I have found out that if you click on your name (top right of this page) then look along the top for ‘inbox’ there should be a number in brackets, and that’s how many messages you have!! I had one sitting there for ages before I knew how to check. Hope you find it
love Jxx
