raising money for cancer research uk

hi all
i was dx with bc in 2009 . i had the lump removed and 3 weeks radiotherapy. i was very lucky not to have cemo. on the 28th january i am holding a girls night and having my hair shaved off. all money raised will go to cancer research uk and up to now have raised £565 on my justgiving page my local paper has done a story and my local shops have donated some fantastic prizes to raffle. my friend has donated 600 car air fresheners to sell. some people think i am mad but a feel i wanted to give something back. just thought i would share my story. best wishes to you all gaynor

Wow you ARE brave! Having lost my hair to chemo and having waited over a year even to get it cut afterwards, I still shake at the thought of shaving it off! Can you PM me your just giving details (if they were on they’ve been removed) as I’d love to sponsor you.

hi revcat thanks very much. my friends and family said why not wait until the summer, but i wlll look a bit silly with a woolly hat on in the summer. my target is a thousand. thanks again gaynor
