RE: and here comes my new follow up

Dear sisters in breasts,

My 4th hospital appointment after my first dx is coming closer and, I am getting a bit, ( a bit? just kiding quite is more accurate), nervous and anxious. Certanly the scar around my nipple, where the initial string of tumors were, feels funny and it’s painful. I can’t clearly check it with my hands as it feels different and, it’s difficult to say if there is something or there isn’t. I was wonder if any of you have been in a similar situation.

In one hand, I haven’t often picture myself in the situation ofbeing told I’ve got a recurrence, I get into the mood were, although full of scareds and alarms, I think I will survive but, in the other hand, and being a young woman, I think there is a potential risk of recurrence and I want to be prepere for it but,how can anybody be prepere for this? and, how do you supose to react?.

Well, I hope I don’t bother you with this things and … I will get great news
X

HI happynipple,
Im sorry to hear that you now have some new concerns ,its often very difficult to know whether some of the things we are feeling or expierencing since BC treatments are normal or not, its good that you have your hospital appointment coming up soon though so you can get your concerns looked at,its also very understandable that our hospital appointments makes us nervous and anxious these days even more so when we have any new symptoms or worries.
I also have a couple of new concerns that i realy need to get checked out, as i have recently been getting intermittent cramping in the affected breast and also shooting pains through the nipple, im hoping that its just “radiation damage”, but i think all these new things need to be checked out by our med teams to put our minds at rest. Ive got an appointment coming up in March .
I hope that all gos well with your hospital appointment and that everything turns out fine, im sure it will for the both of us.
Good Luck and please let me now how you get on.
Hugs to you
Linda x

I am 14mth past end of active treatment and i have a lumpy sore armpit that runs along the top of my breast to my breast bone!

My affected boob has been very sore ever since radio and its really quite lumpy so hard to examine. I went back in the summer and they said it was scar tissue and i am hoping it is this time. It will be my 3rd check since the end so i am worried too.

I really struggle to determine what is now normal or potentially sinister!

good luck!
