Well just to let you know I’m 6 weeks post opp and all settled down, its all looking good, boob and tummy, my tummy is nice and flat and my boob is spot on to my other boob, so really pleased with the out come, it has made me feel so good about myself again, well worth the pain, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, just looking forward to hol’s now x

Im hoping to have the diep done (eventually). I had a mastectomy 4 weeks ago, and will be starting chemo shortly. I think it will be a year and a half before I can have it done. But its nice to hear good stories about the op!

Just catching up with this thread and glad to hear that Mally is doing so well so quickly after the op in April that is very encouraging.
Well I still haven’t had my recon, and am not sure when it will be but am hopeful it will be before the end of this year.
I have had reduction in the good side though, I asked for this because was fed up with being so lopsided and suffering quite a lot of shoulder pain probably due to being uneven. Anyway, I was only in hospital for 2 days, the op went well although was more painful than I expected for about 3 days but I am delighted with the result and for me it is so lovely to have ONE boob that is like an 18 year old one! Still bruised but getting better all the time.
So hopefully I should know around September when my date will be and although anxious and worrying about how painful/uncomfortable it is going to be I am looking forward to being “complete” again.
